Introduction Oklahoma is ranked 26th among the 50 states of U.S. and is the 47th state to be admitted to the U.S union in 1907. Oklahoma is located South Central region of United States. The state of Oklahoma is governed as a republic with three legislative branches-first is the executive branch consisting of the governor and the other independently elected members, secondly the Legislative branch which consists of the assembly and the Senate and lastly the judicial branch consisting of Supreme Court of Oklahoma and other lower courts. The term of the Governor and other state officers is of four years and can be re-elected only once. The state Legislature of Oklahoma consists of 48 members Senate and 101 members in Assembly. In Oklahoma the Senators serve for four years while the Assembly serves only for two years. Oklahoma judicial authority consists of Oklahoma Supreme Court and Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals and 77 district courts for each county. Oklahoma judiciary consists of two independent courts a court of Impeachment and Oklahoma court on judiciary. The Governor appoints the justices of the Supreme Court and the other Appeal Courts.
